Program Manager/Competition Instructor

Gabriella began dancing when she was only three years old. Her love for dance continued to grow and at the age of 7 she began to dance competitively. At 13, she started her competition training at Northland School of dance where she continued to dance and compete until graduation. Gabriella has trained in the areas of jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop, but her true love is in ballet and pointe. "If I could choose any style of dance to choreograph and perform it would be lyrical because of the emotion behind every movement and song." She is very excited to get to know her students and to share her love of ballet as well as other forms of dance. Outside of dance, Gabriella likes to surround herself with lots of friends and family, spending time outside in the pool during the summer or snowmobiling in the winter. She is a movie fanatic and LOVES Chinese food! We are so excited to welcome Gabriella to the Showcase family and our teaching team.

Sophie norris

Sophie started dancing at the age of 2 ½. She began as a baton twirler and gymnast, but her passion for dance took over early on. She competed with the Dance Exchange in Eden Prairie for over 10 years, where she trained in jazz, lyrical, tap, and ballet. Sophie also danced on her high school's hip-hop team, and studied at Peck School of Dance at UW Milwaukee under the professionals of the Milwaukee Ballet Company. She then became a member of the Metropolitan Ballet Company, performing in over 8 ballets, such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Giselle. Sophie was recently chosen for a scholarship to the Joffrey Ballet School’s New York City 2017 Summer Intensive. While in NYC, Sophie trained under many elite ballet professionals, including Marina Bogdanova, a former principal dancer of the Russian National Ballet. Sophie has a strong passion for dance and works hard to share that passion with her students by encouraging growth and creativity through dance.

Elizabeth has been involved in dance and gymnastics her entire life. After doing competitive dance and gymnastics growing up, she continued to fulfill that passion by teaching with a strong focus on tumbling, form, technique, conditioning and flexibility. Elizabeth has coached competitive high school gymnastics as well as coaching for gyms. From 2003-2005 she ran her own gymnastics program on a military post in California where her program grew to over 200 students. Elizabeth finds great joy in working with children and watching them learn and grow in their abilities. Elizabeth and her husband, Mark, of 24 years have six children and one grand-daughter. Several of her children have participated in both competitive dance and gymnastics with her oldest daughter being a competitive gymnastics coach in Kansas City. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and making cakes.
