Through her years of dance, Bre has been on top award winning competitive teams and has won many individual dance awards and scholarships including Rookie of the Year, Dancer of the Year and the Minnesota Association of Dance Teams Senior Scholarship her senior year. As our lead competition instructor and choreographer here at Showcase, BreAnna has been awarded top honors for her choreography and her competition teams have taken numerous high point and judges awards.

She danced competitively for 13 years and earned numerous awards and dance scholarships including all-conference both her junior and senior years, Dancer of the year and Athlete of the Week by the Star News. Katie was a choreographer for the Elk River Dance Team, choreographing several award winning routines. She was also a captain for the Elk River Dance Team her senior year. Katie has trained under such masters of dance as Sonja Tayeh, Mia Michaels, Travis Wall, Stacey Tookey, Peter Chu, Matt Cady, and David Moore just to name a few. Katie's choreography and work with our competition companies has earned her numerous choreography awards. Her team's have consistently placed top in their respective categories. A passionate dancer, Katie is excited to pass on her knowledge and joy of dance to her students.

Gabriella Cegon

Gabriella began dancing when she was only three years old. Her love for dance continued to grow and at the age of 7 she began to dance competitively. At 13, she started her competition training at Northland School of dance where she continued to dance and compete until graduation. Gabriella has trained in the areas of jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical and hip hop, but her true love is in ballet and pointe. "If I could choose any style of dance to choreograph and perform it would be lyrical because of the emotion behind every movement and song." She is very excited to get to know her students and to share her love of ballet as well as other forms of dance. Outside of dance, Gabriella likes to surround herself with lots of friends and family, spending time outside in the pool during the summer or snowmobiling in the winter. She is a movie fanatic and LOVES Chinese food! We are so excited to welcome Gabriella to the Showcase family and our teaching team.

Jay-Jay Chan

Jay-Jay rocked her first tutu at the age of 3. Growing up she danced for 15 years,10 competitively at an intensive dance studio. Her love of dance transitioned into teaching and choreographing routines for competition students ages 8-60 for the past 15 years. She has attended nation wide workshops including some with Angie Sellers, Sarah Jo Fazio and Al Gilbert. With her latest role as a dance mom she understands how important it is for dance to be challenging, enriching and most of all fun. Jay-Jay feels the most rewarding part of teaching dance is watching her students continue to grow on and off the stage.

Rachel Handren

Rachel started her dance career in the fourth grade training mainly in jazz and kick. She didn't realize her true passion for dance until she performed in the Outback Bowl in Florida for their pregame and half-time show. After realizing she wanted to get serious about training, she joined Showcase where she trained in the areas of ballet, contemporary and hip hop. In addition, she attended many workshops and classes in the styles of jazz, kick, ballet, contemporary, and hip hop. After graduating in 2012, she went on to choreograph for the Sherburne county parade and assist in Showcase's younger dance classes. She has been teaching dance workshops in St. Paul for past last two years and now can't wait to get back into the studio and work with all the wonderful students at Showcase!

Sherise Smith

Sherise was enrolled in her first dance class at 4 years old, yet her love for dance started well before. She began competing at the age of 7. She trained at Daryl's Dance Connection for 8 years, JFK for 1, and was a member of the Elk River Dance Team for 5 years. She has trained in ballet, jazz, tap, kick, hip hop, and contemporary. Sherise began her teaching career at Showcase Dance Studio as an assistant in 2010 and in 2011 re-launched our Daddy & Me class.
